Talking Prints was founded in 2014 by Pékula Starke and Zoë Mezas. With their brand they market local goods of Surinamese artisans and influence their environment by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
In 2015 Talking Prints launched a collection of handcrafted bags inspired by traditional Maroons. With the production of these local goods Zoë and Pékula empowers the Maroon women and their community around them. They are bringing them a step closer to financial independence and help realizing their dreams.
